A historic Queen Anne mansion across from the Saratoga Race Course, designed by R. Newton Brezee.
Est. 1892 View Stay Options
Built in 1892 and designed by noted Saratoga architect R. Newton Brezee, the Union Avenue Thoroughbred Club has welcomed guests for well over a century. Brezee was one of Saratoga's most celebrated architects, responsible for many of the grand residences that defined the city's character during its Gilded Age heyday.
The home was commissioned by John McBride Davidson, a prominent businessman, horseman, and Gilded Age figure, who named it "Villa Beatrice" after his daughter. Its location directly across from the Saratoga Race Course made it an ideal gathering place for horsemen, owners, and visitors. Today it remains part of the nationally recognized Union Avenue Historic District, preserving the elegance and architectural character of Saratoga's finest era.
An ideal retreat for horse owners, trainers, racing enthusiasts, and visitors seeking the very best of Saratoga.
